I have a philosophy that I live by and it’s very simple, “over deliver”. Whether I am doing a bathroom renovation, or educating people on how to remodel their bathroom, my goal is to provide you with the best way to achieve a successful project along with a rewarding experience.

You may have already done a home project and been disappointed. Goodness knows I have had many new clients where I have had to fix projects that were not properly done in the first place. THE RENOVATION REALITY SERIES

You Ever Start Something and Have No Idea What You're Getting Into. This project was very much like a renovation project.

I had no idea what I was getting into. When all of the filming was done we had over 45 hours of footage. We weren't quite clear on what to do with all of it. It had grown from a small ebook concept to a full video based reality series.

Again, like a renovation. You start with wanting to upgrade the tiles, then the sink no longer matches, and the bath now looks old, and you want to upgrade the flooring, and it can go beyond your budget and spin out of control in minutes. I learned I had to get things edited, and more vision was needed in order to create a finished product that I would put my name to. You have an answer right away - so that you do know what you're getting into, how to properly plan, budget, and prevent that money pit spiral that can so often happen in life.

Just like life, I wanted to do this project completely unscripted - so you could see the thought process and gain a clear understanding of a true renovation experience and that's exactly what was achieved.

The Bathman Chronicles took me two years to the month to complete and a team of very patient professionals. I am a tradesman not a writer so the only thing I could write about and film was a true account of what I know and do best. The ebook itself went through a constant upgrading process for editing and GUI (graphic user interface). The content went through two editors (who I thank at the end), and multiple editing sessions. This is to insure the content read well and was fluid with the proper English mechanics in place.

The original ebook concept wasn't supposed to contain the Renovation Reality Series video. The videos were part of another project. It wasn't till later that I decided to package all of it under the Bathman Chronicles. The idea was to give you the most complete experience for the best possible value.

The people working with me on this project were not very happy about this due to the extra work on the editing and packaging side as well as losing marketing opportunity for future products. In essence I drove up costs and gave it all away. The cost of this project was very expensive and I couldn't know that until I dove further and further into the rabbit hole.

Do you want to know something funny? I would have given this project away free for everyone to enjoy but I was too afraid to present that to my team. So how did I arrive at a price for this ebook? When it was completed I sent it to various professionals and marketers from Chicago to California to get their opinions. The easy way is to add up your costs and add the appropriate profit to establish a price but that would simply blow you out of your socks due to my costs. Another way is to compare this product to others like it and define a comparable price. This didn't work for two reasons. 1) There is no comparable product. 2) Anything even close was too overpriced for my conscience.

Lastly we tried to use common sense about the value. Knowing the time and sweat that went into this project the marketers and editors recommended a price between $60 and $100 but since I'm where the buck stops I squashed that. See, I already know I won't get back the costs, but something more important happened at the end of this journey. I am celebrating my 20th year in business. I didn't plan on this as the launch date, it just happened. So I wanted to thank my past and future clients for making this possible by making the download free, ENJOY!
