About Us
At Bath Resource, we provide a bathroom only, one-stop-shopping environment that today’s consumers appreciate. Our clients receive truly personalized service. We’re not distracted by the lawnmower department, the deck department, the lumber department... you get the idea.
Our company was the winner of the 2004 Chrysalis Award for Excellence in Bathroom Remodeling and our exemplary customer service got Bath Resource included in the Chicago edition of The Franklin Report, an “invitation only” listing of reputable service providers.
We offer our clients the opportunity to begin the estimate process by filling out a form on our website, www.bathresource.com. This helps both of us assess budget considerations, design concept, and wants vs. needs before the client comes to the showroom. What sets your business apart from others? We just do bathrooms! Our goal is to work with such continuity that we’re finished with your project in the fewest number of days possible – getting your life back to normal as quickly as possible.
How It All Began...
Owner Scott Laing, a professional plumber and master tile setter, saw a need for a specialty business focusing only on bathrooms. He then selected the finest products available to display in the showroom. Now, based on his personal experience in design and installation, Bath Resource’s range includes preserving period looks in 100 year-old homes to “tricking out” estate homes to fit the client’s personality.

Meet the Bath Man
I started my career as plumber around 1985 and continued learning as much about the different aspects of plumbing (commercial, residential, new construction, renovation and preservation) until I thought it was time to add to my trade portfolio so I pursued another trade.
I started over again and became a tile setters apprentice. Learning the art of installing various types of hard surface material such as Marble, Granite, Limestone, ceramic and any other material than can be used in a floor and wall application. It was this trade that challenged my creativity. I had the awesome opportunity to learn from setters that installed without safety nets such as plastic spacers. You can tell how well their eyes were trained by the look of their finished product. It was a pleasure to work along side such skilled tradesmen. Years later, after all of the schooling was done, I pursued my path in hopes of developing my own resources and relationships. I am happy you are here, please feel free to ask me about your project.
